Things You HATED About Being a JW

there were a few things that i hated about being a witness.. i love music and live concerts.

quite often i'd have to play my music privately or hide an album cover for fear it might "stumble" someone.

i hated worrying whether someone was going to somehow get "stumbled.. regarding going to concerts, it seemed that certain artists only came to town on a meeting night and i'd miss the shows.. what did you hate about being a jehovah's witness?.

Comical Memories While You Were A Witness

in all the years i was a witness, i must admit there were some pretty funny things that i can remember.

i can't forget the time after i had given a public talk and the sister who played the piano ran from the bathroom to the piano with half of her dress still tucked in her pantyhose.

brothers and sisters were trying in vain to run down the long aisle but to no avail.

A young and newly converted guy in our congo where doing like 130 -140 hours a month in the FS (as a regular publisher) and giving som pretty strange comments at the meetings. One day though he had changed his mind and showed up before the Sunday meeting in jeans, leather jacket and sunglasses his letter of disassosiation in his hand. He handed over the letter to the secretary, knocket him out with one punch of his fist and ran out the door.

just been to the bellagio for 6 days - absolutely loved it!.

visited most of the big hotels - loved the wynn with it's in house ferrari showroom.. venetian was also awe inspiring.

mandalay bay was impressive for its size - including a 12,000 seat auditorium and an underwater shark experience.. luxor was also amazing and mgm grand is the worlds biggest hotel with over 5000 rooms.. for shopping caezars palace was fantastic - the forum shops were something else!.

here in norway dubs are dancing while having a wedding or some other party, but in sweden dancing in a big no no.. i know one congragation in southern norway where the sisters are alowed to wear pants during fs, while pants in fs just don't happend ever in the congos around in the same area.. any local differences in your area?.

tired of the hypocrisy's post got me thinking ... how many jw "kids" over the age when they should have left home still live with their parents.

i say this because i have many of those in my congregation.

fyi it looks real bad to be a older man (ie 25 and up) scrub laying up at home unless you have a outstanding circumstance i.e.

Two guys in my congo aged 39 and 32 are still living at home with their parents. Both are mentally destroyed by the borg and none of them will probably ever have a normal life on this side of Armageddon

i know that not everyone may "understand" who we are, but being out of the organization and its myriads of rules, we should be able to be comfortable.

Big Announcement on next Service meeting

there seems to be a very important announcement this coming weeking on the next service meeting, forme it will be on wednesday 30th jan.. during the last 2 meetings they have asked that every batized jw be at that meeting and even to tell others who might not have heard the annoucement.. anyone here have any ideas i wouldn't be surprised if they are changing meeting times and arrangments...less meeting at is !.
